When I want to configure the outgoing mail, I save the parameters and do not respect the save because they reappear without data.

checking the database, I see that I do not have the table "vtiger_systems_seq". I installed the vtiger again and I do not have it either.

vtiger_systems_seq table is not created on install processing and vtiger_systems_seq table is created when saving

1. on save vtiger tries to send a test-email to vtiger admin user email address

2. if sending is ok, then it creates (if not exist) vtiger_systems_seq table

3. and it saves your outgoing configuration into vtiger_systems

If you, after outgoing server saving, have vtiger_systems empty and vtiger_systems_seq table is not there, this means sending test-email has fault

before all, try this:

1. go into admin "My Preferences"

2. set a valid email address into admin preferences "Primary Email" and save

3. go into "Configuration => Outgoing Server"

4. configure outgoing server with a Gmail account (if you have one) selecting "Server Type" = "GMail"

5. enter "User Name", "Password" and tick "Requires Authentication"

6. save
