7.3 beta: Contact ID field is available under duplicate matching criteria while importing, but not available in field mapping!
Scenario:
We have 10,000 contacts and and want to update some field.
This is not possible using Mass edit due to the limit of 500 record selection.
The other way is we do an import and overwrite the data.
To do so we would need 2 things:
- criteria to match and find respective record in CRM
- field mapping of the fields selected in duplicate matching criteria
The best field to do so is the Contact ID or the Contact Number field (auto-generated type).
In the Step 2 of import as such we can select Contact ID field for duplicate match:
But, then in the next step we can not map the Contact No./ID field from CSV to the Contact ID/No. field of CRM, as Contact ID field is not listed in the CRM field dropdown:
