Mail Converter: No special chars in username and password allowed

When I tried to add a new postbox in Mail Converter, it fails due to special chars in usnername and password. In this case usernames are normally Mail-Addresses and contain at lelast @ and . which is not allowed. Furthermore it should be possible to use special chars in passwords (because of the need of strong passwords)

I am useing vtiger 7.0.1. But this is a very old bug, already existed in 2004 with vtiger 6.1. We have tried to reproduce this and its working fine as expected. Could you please share the screenshots to consider this again

by the way: adding the same postbox within the mailmanager works fine. just adding it to the mail converter did not work.

We would like to know which language you have used in the screenshot and whats the exact error message you are getting please share with google translate

wired. i tried again today and adding a mailbox did work. i do not have a clue why it did not work yesterday :/ anyway, i made up another issue: after adding rules, it is not possible to edit them (no matter which language is selected, on tiger 7.0.1). See screenshot.

@flipflop.Joe Please enable the dieOnError true in include/database/Peardatabase.php line no72 and please enable error_reporting in config.inc.php

So that we can get the exact error of the screenshot

dieOnError true gives the following message after clicking on the edit pen

in config.inc.php i tried error reporting for debugging with no results in the backend. when i try error reporting for strict development the screen is full off errors and notices (hundreds everywhere, see picture)

by the way: i can not delete rules either. I will be ask if i am sure to delete the rule, after i click on yes nothing happens.

i am using PHP 5.4 and MySQL 5.7 on Apache 2.4

ok, editing rules now works with applied patch from above. but deleting rules still does not work. (tiger asks: "Are you sure you want to delete?", after I click on yes, nothing happen). There is no error message as well, dieOnError in PearDatabase.php is still set.

is there any request going post click of delete ? (you can check via browser konsole)

after clicking the delete button the browser sends the following request to the server: https://vtiger.url/index.php?module=MailConverter&parent=Settings&record=13&scannerId=9&action=DeleteRule

the server response is: {"success":false,"error":{"code":"Invalid request","message":"Invalid request"}}

next thing:

if i try to run the mail scanning (hit button scan now) an error occurs: "mail converter is in running state"

@flipflop.Joe - are you checking against latest-master? I would recommend setup again and retry. (Previous runs that had stalled could be affecting - Running state indicates it).

i get the error "mail converter is in running state" only if the checkbox "Status" is not checked. if it is, i get the error "Record you are trying to access is not found" (see picture)

Are you sure you have test with latest-master with clean browser cache?
